Veg mung dal khichadi

Ingredients:

1)Mung dal :1 small bowl

2)Rice: 1 small bowl 

3)Vegetables as per your choice ...recommendations are peas ,carrot ,potato ,tomato

4)Lal mirch powder 1/2tea spoon

5)Goda masala 1/2tea spoon

6)Salt, sugar to taste

7)3 1/2 cup water

8)Coriander for decoration


Process:

1)Take one bowl rice and mung dal and wash it properly twice and keep it a side by removing all water from it

2)Place pressure cooker on gas burner and add one spoon of oil in it

3)Once oil is heated, add some (1/2 tea spoon) mustard seeds,jeera,pinch of hing and turmeric

4)Add diced vegetable in it and sauté them for 2 mins

5)Add washed rice and dal in it and Stir it well

6)Add 3 cups of water (cup size should be same as rice bowl)

7)Add salt and sugar to taste

8)Add 1/2 tea spoon Lal mirch powder and goda masala.

9)Cook it well with 4 whistles(10-15 min)

10)Our Khichadi is ready, garnish it with coriander and serve it.
